No residential area, park or playground is the same. Each site comes with its own set of specific features and challenges, like the demographic composition of the neighbourhood and the related needs of its residents. Or the limited space in the streets. Customisation is a must.

Since 1996, we have been making all our sports and playground equipment by hand. Each post, connector, cable, chute, screw, nut, bearing and other components are individually combined by hand to create a Citybox, exercise equipment or swing. That takes time and manpower, but results in vandal-resistant and low-maintenance sports and play equipment for the outdoors.

At IJslander we value partnerships. We are always open to creative, out-of-the-box projects that come our way. One such project was the interactive swing installation of the TIS Wannaplay foundation. A custom-made frame with multiple swings, with light-up seats and unique sounds from different music instruments. It enables children to create their own music together while swinging.
