The first outdoor Fitness Park in Zeewolde (NL) suitable for people with disabilities

Recently, IJslander proudly installed a new outdoor fitness park in Zeewolde (the Netherlands). The park consists of a freerun, fitness and trim parkour. Erik Wallenburg, a local resident, developed the fitness parkour as he realized that not everybody with a disability dares to go out to train as easily as he does.

The fitness parkour is intended for people with poor mobility or a disability to be able to train alone or with a partner. IJslander adapted 3 fitness units so they can also be used by people with disabilities.

The park became a centre for leisure, including a nearby skate area. “Young and old can be together here, meet and train with one another”, says local councillor Ewout Suithoff.
