Fantastic slide in school in Zottegem

The ‘Koninklijk Atheneum’ school in Zottegem, Belgium, has been building a new place for months, due to expansion. This new building is now in use. And how: the students can enjoy themselves in between their lessons with the brand new slide we designed and built! Not only the students, but also the teachers are very enthusiastic, and the slide is already a favorite activity.

For the design we took the wishes of the school and the wishes of the students into account. The bright red color blends effortlessly into the interior, and the sharp spiral immediately sets the tone; not only as an eye-catcher, but also as a fun element for the students. Special about this slide are the transparent compartments, which are completely see-through.

This slide is completely built with circular materials, mainly with stainless steel: it does not rust, lasts for years and is fully reusable. The slide is not only a lot of fun, but it is also very functional. It’s the fastest way to get down during accidents.

The ‘Koninklijk Atheneum’ in Zottegem is a community education school with a nursery, primary and secondary department. Through interactive spaces, students learn to take control of their own learning process and to work independently. The teacher acts as a coach.
